Customer Review: First try, Instant Gratification

I recently bought a DVD Burner, and I picked up this spindle of HP DVD+R's as an afterthought. When i got back home, I suddenly remembered that I had read somewhere that some DVD+R media were horribly incompatible with alot of DVD readers, and a wave of panic ran through me. However, that panic was unfounded. From the moment I burned my first movie, through using the disks as backup storage, the disks have worked admirably. Not only do they work with my current PC DVD-ROM drive (a Dell, by the way), the disks also worked on my DVD player (Brand: Shinco.. who would have thought it would work on an unknown brand?) and also on my Xbox. Yes, for those Xbox enthusiasts out there, this is the perfect media to burn your games and program. I have had luck with my Phillips drive and my friend's Samsumg drive as well (used Nero 6, UDF or ISO format), although I haven't tested it on the Thompson drives.I recommend this media for anyone who is just starting out experimenting with burning DVD's, as this media is widely compatible (maybe as widely compatible as the Memorex media), and is actually pretty cheap. I was amazed by the price for media that carried a brand such as HP.
For those of you looking for smaller spindles, HP does sell in a 10 Pack spindle as well, although I'm not too sure if you can get it here on Amazon.com. But considering how cheap the 50pc spindle is already, you're better off getting this.
